Caver Training

Skills Training for Cavers and Mine Explorers

Separate to my delivery of the National Governing Body awards, I am often training cavers who are not aspirant leaders or who are simply wanting to progress further in their hobby. Many of the caving clubs in the UK have excellent training programmes and the BCA holds regular workshops for recreational cavers. Some however prefer to arrange and undertake bespoke training on their own or with a group of friends. I can deliver training in any aspect of underground progression or knowledge on a one-off basis or as part of an ongoing structured coaching programme.

Potential Bespoke Training Could Include

  • Single Rope Technique
  • Rigging
  • Rescue for small parties
  • SRT Rescue
  • Ladder & lifeline skills
  • Hydrology and safe caving
  • Navigation
  • A general introduction to caving
  • Mine hazards
  • and many more…

Booking Training

All bespoke training of this type requires a conversation so that I can listen to what you are hoping to achieve and give you some options for how to proceed. Please get in touch for a no-pressure discussion about your training needs.

From time to time I might advertise workshops aimed at a specific skill or area of knowledge that any caver could book onto. If you are unsure whether a course is for you, or want to know more about the content, please get in touch.
